New Product for USDA- RURAL HOUSING

The following fee changes will impact United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Guaranteed Rural Housing loans with a USDA Conditional Commitment on or after Oct. 1, 2011:

  • The Upfront Guarantee Fee (shown as the “Rural Housing Guarantee Fee” in AOW and LIS) will be reduced for Purchase transactions from 3.5% to 2%. The Upfront Guarantee Fee for Refinance transactions will remain unchanged at 1%.
  • A new Annual Fee (shown as the “Annual RD Amt” in AOW and LIS) of .30% of the unpaid balance of the loan for the entire 30-year term will be applied to Purchase and Refinance transactions.
