October 25 – GNAR Newsletter Vol. 40

Congrats to Newly Elected Board of Directors & Officers for 2018!

Yesterday at the GNAR Annual Meeting at Nichols Village, a new board was confirmed by the membership.  Congrats to those who will serve the Board in 2018 and beyond.  New to the Board will be Pirre Mitchell, as Local Director and Trisha McCarthy as Alternate State Director.  Also, Christine Masiello will be completing her duties as Alternate State Director and become President-Elect 2018 (President in 2019).  Listed below is the BOD to be installed on 11/30 at Blue Ocean Event Center.

We also want to extend a huge thank you to our generous host Nichols Village, and Brenda Burkholder, Marketing Director, for the delicious luncheon in their beautiful dining room as well as the use of the meeting facilities.  Thank you to Rick Hydren for photgraphing the event as well.

An informative presentation followed by the National Association of REALTORS® Chief Economist, Dr. Lawrence Yun, which provided a National and Regional economic forecast as well as the impact of the Presidential election on housing.  Of critical importance is the tax reform presently proposed in Congress which would negatively impact middle income and homeownership.  Please be sure to respond to emails being sent on the Call for Action.  GNAR is leading the state with our association having a 21% response rate presently.  We can still do better!  If you have not yet responded, PLEASE do so today.. Take Action Now!
