Seeking Committee Members
An email was sent today to all members regarding opportunities to participate/chair on a committee, or prepare for leadership roles on the Board of Directors thru committee service.
Dear GNAR Members —
Happy New Year 2018!
Our Association is busy preparing to help make 2018 a very successful year for you. During my acceptance speech at our annual gala and installation, I mentioned several goals I had for our Association. One of them was to get more members involved with the Association’s committees. To help achieve this goal we are asking that you review the list of committees below to find one or more on which you would like to serve.
Please reply with your interest detailed to Susan Tiernan – email@example.com If you are interested in more than one committee, please number in priority order the ones you wish to be considered for and reply to Susan no later than Friday, January 12, 2018
Thank you very much for your interest! I look forward to working with you in 2018!
Michael L. Jewell, CRB, CRS
2018 GNAR President
Background: GNAR Committees are established annually by the President of the association, and Chairperson appointees are presented to the Board of Directors for confirmation per Bylaws. Committee Chairs are agreed upon by the board and are given the task of soliciting additional members, as needed, to form the committee. Committees are designed to aid the Board of Directors in meeting the goals of the Strategic Plan as well as generating ideas, input, feedback, and creative suggestions for existing and future programs.

Committee Reports are to be provided on a regular basis (or after any meeting held) to the President so that they may be shared with the entire Board of Directors at their scheduled meetings.
