5th Annual RPAC Mini-Golf Tournament

A fantastic turnout, with 48 golfers, at the 5th Annual RPAC Mini-Golf Tournament. Everyone enjoyed the beach breezes, bbq, and teamwork!  Great raffle prizes were awarded to many, and through the raffle and the event, over $1600 was raised for RPAC!

The course may have been challenging for a few, but for those ‘in the know’ of the bumps and turns of Buc’s Lagoon, the following were awarded trophies for their expertise:

1ST PLACE:  The “Hampton Beachers” – Bill Barrows, Kelly Bradbury, Kelly Martinson, and Ed Maccaro

2ND PLACE: The “CBRB’s ” – Susan Dougherty, Michael Nash, Steve St. Arnault, Donna Pisciotta

LAST PLACE (or more honest scorecard): “Stir it Up” – Linda Knight, Wendy Dickes, Ashley Stolba (MAR), and Eileen Jonah Daly (NSAR)

BEST GOLF OUTFIT - Susan Dougherty – (if you’ve been to the tournament, you’ve seen her special outfit, pictures to be posted later). Thank you to everyone that made this event a success, and to our BBQ Sponsor, Bank of America (and scorekeeper extrodinaire, Lance Adie). PHOTOS WILL BE PUBLISHED SOON.

Member News – June 18

Happy June!

June tends to be exceptionally busy and this year is no exception.  With the Realtor of the Year event last week and the upcoming RPAC Mini-Golf Tournament next week, we’ll be seeing each other a bunch!

The next member meeting at GNAR will take place after the 4th of July weekend.  We are looking to confirm the speaker for July 1oth.  It is one that you won’t want to miss.

Also, be sure to register asap if you plan to golf next week.  We are still seeking hole sponsorships from our Affiliate members that want to showcase their business during the event.

Realtor of the Year

Congratulations to Mary Ellen Lawlor, our Affiliate Member who provides us with so many volunteer hours, event sponsorships, and her smiling face at the meetings at GNAR!  We truly appreciate your sense of volunteerism!  It takes a village, and you demonstrate that in your work and personal commitments every day.

Also recognized at the event, was Gail Tufts, awarded posthumously, as the Realtor of the Year 2014.  Many in attendance shared with each other stories of Gail’s commitment to the industry.  Accepting the award on her behalf was Sharon Cronin, of RE/MAX on the River.  Gail spent over 40 years dedicated to finding the right homes for buyers, helping sellers with their listings, and as a resource to many fellow Realtors in the association.

The photos for the Realtor and Affiliate of the Year Award will be published on Friday.  A great time was had by all those who attended at Stripers Grille last Wednesday.
